फेसबुक मैसेंजर के वाईस प्रेजिडेंट ने स्टेन चूडनोवस्की ने अपने ब्लॉग पोस्ट में कहा कि आप अपने रूम को फेसबुक पर न्यूज फीड, ग्रुप्स और इवेंट्स के जरिए साझा कर सकते हैं। इसके आलावा यूजर निर्धारित कर सकता है कि कौन उनके रूम्स को देख सकता है और कौन रूम्स को ज्वाइन कर सकता है। यूजर अपने रूम से लोगों को रिमूव भी कर सकता है और यूजर अपने रूम को लॉक भी कर सकता है। रूम के लॉक हो जाने के बाद कोई भी यूजर उस रूम को ज्वाइन नहीं कर सकता है।
